How it works

From public record to your call list in three steps.

Cities publish every approved building permit. Almost nobody reads them. We do it for you, every week.

01

We pull every permit

Each day we collect the permits your city's building department approves: in Boston, every permit from Inspectional Services.

02

We sort them into buying moments

A 200-amp service upgrade means a heat pump or EV charger is coming. A demo permit means a dumpster this week. We tag each one by trade.

03

You get a short list Monday

A clean web brief plus a spreadsheet: address, map link, scope, value, permit holder, and a suggested angle for every lead.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Anything else? Email hello@beaconradar.co.

Where does the data come from?

Public building-permit records published by each city we cover. For Boston, that's the Approved Building Permits dataset from the Inspectional Services Department on Analyze Boston, released into the public domain (PDDL). We clean it, remove duplicates, and sort it by trade. We're independent and not affiliated with any city.

Which cities do you cover?

Boston today. Cambridge, Worcester and Hartford publish current permit data and are next up. We're adding cities across New England and beyond based on requests, so tell us yours.

Do you include homeowner names or phone numbers?

No. Permits list the address and the permit holder (usually the contractor). Reach homeowners by mail or a door hanger, and reach permit holders as a business. Always follow do-not-call and anti-spam rules.

How fresh is it?

Boston updates its file daily. Your brief covers permits issued Monday through Sunday of the prior week and lands Monday morning.

What's in the spreadsheet?

One row per lead: issue date, permit number, type, address, neighborhood, ZIP, declared value, scope of work, permit holder, occupancy, status, the suggested angle, and a map link. It opens in Excel or Google Sheets.

Why not just search the city's site myself?

You can, and it's free. A busy Boston week has 800+ permits. We read them all, drop the noise, and hand you only the ones that mean a sale for your trade, with an angle for each.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime, from the link in your receipt. No contracts.

Your next job already pulled a permit.
